My Best Bowling Game Ever

So I went bowling yet again with my boi PJ and his boyz and I had such a
blast. Maybe it was the drinks, maybe it was the company...but heck
either way I had a good time.

in addition to the good time had by all, I also bowled the best score of
my life 129!! Yay!

Pictured here is my score about mid game and then at the finally. I was
really killing them tonight!

Dansani and Potato Sick

I always feel really fat when I do a blog on food but I just have so
much to say about food today.

Item #1 - Dasani
I hate to be bragging about water but damn this is some good ish. I
dunno what coke be doing to this water. Distilled, triple distilled,
osmosis....whatever it is they need to keep that mess up. I actually
don't mind tap water at all, however you can clearly taste the
difference!!!

Item #2 - The Potato Stick
I know I can be the only one that ate these back in the day when I was a
kid...so don't fake. I was in giant yesterday and saw these on the shelf
so of course you know I had to get one. Yummy, the same good flava!

Vantage Point

Again this blog is not at all what you initially might think it is. Your probably thinking its a movie review, which to some small degree it is...but its more than that.

I know this movie came out a while ago and I meant to go see it, but like many things it never happened. So I corrected this tonight actually quite haphazardly. I was in giant trying to figure out what to make for dinner...yes that's right I'm cooking for somebody :-)

When I checked out I got a free coupon for the redbox DVD thing so I figured why not pick up a movie too. Of course vantage point was the movie I picked up.

Very very good movie, it kept me interested the whole time and the different angles and points of view that we were seeing the same story happen really captured my attention.

However it also made me think about some current situations I've been involved in and I realized that I should really pay more attention or at least be respective to the other points of view involved. This isn't exactly a revelation as far as thoughts are concerned however its not something that I probably do the best job at doing when I'm mad either.

Just another friendly random message from you know who...I'm sure. He speaks, I listen.

Let the work week begin....

The sun is setting on the summer.....

Oh geees. It it really the end of the summer already!!

With only 2 weeks really left in what is my summer break from school I have one big trip left and its planned and ready to go....yes sir. Hopefully its gonna b a time to really remember. With this one trip I've decided to keep the travelling party very very exclusive just VIP. If I catch ya there then great, if not I'll have pictures ;-)

This summer was really really something unique! It had its highs and lows but for the most part I have to say that most of it was truly positive. For once I can start the school year on a high note, confident that I finally did with a summer what I wanted. I'm truly sighing a breath of relief...I almost feel like a new person.

I never felt more complete in my whole life. Its a good feeling. I finally get what T was tryna say....

Running out of gas

So you might be thinking my blog is about something introspective but its really not. Sorry to disappoint.

Gas prices are high and despite what the govt says were in a recession. So as a result unfortunately more and more I see the scene featured in my picture.

If you can't quite make it out its a guy who ran out of gas. But don't get me wrong I'm not thinking this funny...its actually pretty sad. I'm starting to see this scene over and over again in various places. I guess I shouldn't b shocked the economy is kinda bad.

I was getting gas one day and this guy walked up talking about his car ran out of gas and he had to make it home to his kids in annapolis. Now if you know where I live you know that aint exactly walking distance.

I felt so bad for the guy. He didn't ask me for money or a ride but instead asked if I could fill up his gas can (which was pretty small). Knowing he wasn't gonna make it on just that I filled it up twice. I really felt for the guy.

In other gas related news I've been hearing scattered reports of people getting robbed, rapped and otherwise harassed at gas stations. Damn.

Moral of this story. The economies bad, don't carry cash, don't get your gas at night in dark places, and BE careful.

Choward's Grand Opening...

My blog as been around for a very very long time and I must admit its had a couple of uses over its lifetime.

I resurrected the blog this time to help document a correction! CAN I get an amen!!!!

2006 and its fallout in 2007 was not a year I'd ever really like to relive again and I admit I emerged in '07 with some serious scares and flaws. But don't get me wrong...I'm not pointing fingers and I'm not mad it happened cuz I know things happen for a reason. However facts are facts, I was in need of a correction.

Having admitted my issues I went about working on them. However having said this I realize...I didn't really have to do any work. The only thing my correction required was me learning to listen...which is harder than you might think, especially when we think we know it all.

I gained some very good friends, re-connected with some old ones, corrected a lot of wrongs and dropped "people baggage" that just needed to go.

So as my own bday approaches in about 2 months time I look toward it knowing for the first time in a few years that things are really...ok.

:-)

We all need to learn to chill

I may have talked about this subject before but its an important one
so...I'll do it again.

College teaches us all lots of great things. But unfortunately many of
us (especially the science and math folks) come out of college some of
the most high strung people on earth.

So for those of us in that situation (me included) its critical that we
do as my title suggests and learn how to chill! I can admit now that I
used to be a very high strung guy. Even when the semester was over I
found myself rushing here and there. And dealing with things just as if
it was a classroom assignment or something due at work.

Life is to short...and honestly rarely are things really that serious in
life. So as I say sometimes....

Enjoy your life and just b ez.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, mines was great.

August - The Month of Change

So its been about a whole week since my last blog which is absolutely not acceptable for me but what can I say....its august!

In the grand scheme of things I'm sure this doesn't matter much at all but generally speaking August is NEVER a great month for me. Since I was 4 years old it has marked the ending of a summer of fun and a beginning of.....school :-(

Since I've been in school forever you might have thought that this feeling would have gotten better but it HASN'T!!! Instead its gotten worse! It used to be that you were happy to go to school..or at least I did. Heck my friends were there. Now school is something that takes me away from those I love and care about....but excellence demands sacrifice.

August has really been a month of change I'm sure for everyone. There's just sooo sooo much going on with me and everyone I know I don't even dare get into all the juicy details on the public blog ;-)

However as I sit here writing at the midpoint of August I'm still quite positive...change good and bad is the catalysis for improvement. So as I say....bring it on.

The summer has really been good to be and I'm going to start the new school year refreshed, relaxed and ready.....

My blog, and maybe writing in general has really helped my "transition" into normality so I hope that I can keep it up when the school year (and the business that comes along with it) starts.

Happy Birthday Mr. Devil

Ok so Mr. Devil is totally not who you think...its actually the alias for my best buddy Nightdevil (also not his real name)...but this is the blog.

So as my title alludes to its his birthday and of course I'm planning something fun. We all have our flaws my buddy included but I love that guy just the same.

Your one year older today..and hopefully a bit wiser. So enjoy yourself.

A Very Special Birthday

Not that my dogs can even read this message, but if you know me you know how important my ladies are to me!

So my very special blog of the day is to celebrate the day my two favorite ladies (Carmen & Crystal) were born....August 4th, 2005Life just wouldn't be the same without em ;-)

For the under educated dog person they are both golden retrievers a bit of info on them can be found HERE. They really do exhibit every trait.

WTF was Chris Brown Thinking!!!!!!
